…lead by example

We are living in extraordinary times, crusaders. As absolutely overwhelming as they can be, they are (for better or worse) uncommon. Unfortunately, fear and distrust are no strangers to current events, and it’s easy to lose sight of that bigger picture when you’re in the middle of those smaller but significant moments.

So, I wouldn’t blame you if you missed a moment of historic proportions that happened quietly while much of the world’s attention was focused elsewhere.

…Build Momentum

Welcome to Monday, fellow crusaders! Whether you’re feeling jazzed, dismayed, dizzy, dazed or indifferent after last night’s Tony Awards we could all use a little boost (or jazz hands?) to get the week rolling.

Seeing as those of us who care about such things are coming off of a theater high, I’m taking my cue from the stage. I’m borrowing my motivation for this new week from this year’s nominated shows…and you’re welcome to as well.

…Vamp

The Tonys are inching closer and closer, and at this point you may be wondering, “What else could there possibly be to discuss?”.

That’s a great question, and one that is clearly being asked by someone who doesn’t love the theater. While I can certainly sympathize that for some theater is just, “not their thing,” I can’t help but wonder if they just haven’t found the right shows.

After all, theater covers an infinite number of genres and styles. There’s a chance these sad souls just haven’t found their particular brand of theater…yet. Read the rest of this entry
