…Fall Hard

Despite some of our best efforts it seems this summer is reaching its end and that autumn is on its way. In fact, the first signs of the changing seasons have already arrived.

I’m not talking about the falling leaves or cooler temps (dare to dream). No the “signs” to which I refer are a little less cozy, romanticized autumn and a little more corporate.

This Tuesday the inexplicably controversial PSL returned to Starbucks. Further heralding the impending demise of summer, today Freeform announced their 31 Nights of Halloween lineup (complete with all the “Hocus Pocus” airings you could possibly want).

While some may protest that it’s too soon, I have to admit that I am here for it. Not the hot latte in 90 degree heat, but the early arrival of fall is something I can support.

It’s nothing personal summer, I’m just over the heat and ready for some sweater weather.

That being said, I respect that for some these last few weeks of summer are what will get them through to next spring. So, no matter your seasonal preference enjoy these last days of summer in all their mixed-up-with-autumn glory.

Okay, that’s all I have for you. Be brave, be kind, and appreciate the here and now.

P.S. — Today’s photo is brought to you by some awesome filtered sunlight, the first signs of autumn, and a morning run in a city park.

…just for fun:

Sadly, “Casper” is  still missing from this year’s 31 Nights of Halloween lineup, but that will just make its return all the sweeter…right?
