…reduce and reuse

The planet needs your help, crusaders. And if you didn’t already know that, welcome!

Today we celebrate another national holiday meant to inspire us to do our part where the planet is concerned. Today’s call to action? Recycle.

It’s #AmericaRecyclesDay!

And you know what, we do…about a third of the time

…and not to throw salt in the trash pile (that could have been recycled), but recycling is really not enough.

Lucky for us, I’ve found recycling is a gateway gesture where environmentalism is concerned.

One minute you’re separating your paper and plastic, next minute you’re refusing straws (the sea turtles thank you).

Before you know it you’ve Googled your way through a terrifying amount of statistics about the rate at which we’re destroying the Ozone layer…

And once you recover from that anxiety attach you’re just a hop, skip, and a fluorocarbon ban away from composting EVERYTHING and doing your part ensure the planet is habitable for future generations…

But for today, for the sake of the holiday (and the planet), let’s start with recycling…

…bi-daily smile…

The answer to the question, “Are there any good songs about fluorocarbons?”

now, if someone would just be willing to take our recycling…I’m trusting the best and the brightest are still working on this…
