…Cross Paths

We live in a superstitious world. If you don’t believe me, talk to a Dodgers or Red Sox fan today.

You can hear all about how their team won or lost because of some lucky socks or an ill-timed trip to the restroom.

We give a lot of power to coincidence. Most of the time it’s all in good fun. However, sometimes someone has to pay. No one more so than the black cat, who finally gets to have its day. Yes, it’s Black Cat Day.

If you’re wondering why this particular color of cat gets its own day, congrats on not being ruled by superstition. Thanks to an old superstition these little fluffers are less likely to be adopted, and that’s just not right.

Crossing paths with a black cat is many things, unlucky is not one of them. You may get some cat hair on your clothes. You may also get a whole lot of unconditional love. Unless you have a cat allergy, neither of those are unlucky.

So, today consider crossing paths with these friendly felines.

…just for fun:
