…get pumped

Happy First Day of Fall, crusaders!

I know not everyone is thrilled to see summer go and today can be one of mixed emotions. For some, it’s the beginning of the countdown to next summer…

For others, it’s the first day it is totally and undeniably appropriate to break out all the pumpkins (and all other fall decor)!!!

Guess which one I am?

If you’re in the former, you have my condolences, but fret not, we (the latter) are here to get you excited about the autumnal adventures before you, whether you like it or not. So grab your PSL and let’s do this.

1. Pumpkin Everything

This festive fruit is so much more than a latte, it’s the symbol of the season that carries us from Halloween all the way through to pumpkin pies at Christmas. Let the pumpkin season begin…

2. Sweaters

I love a good summer sun dress as much as the next person, but sweater weather is the best weather. Wardrobe-wise, there’s a threshold to what you can do to combat the heat (that is considered socially acceptable) during the summer. In the fall, there is always room for another sweater. ALWAYS.

3. Hallmark* Movies

I love a good, illogically scripted, beautifully predictable Hallmark movie any day of the year, but the fall and holiday seasons are when these modern marvels of made-for-television cinematic glory truly shine. Not to mention we are mere weeks (probably…where’s the release date Netflix?) away from “A Christmas Prince — The Royal Wedding.”

*For the uninitiated, Hallmark movies may also include Lifetime, Netflix, and any other network that nails this particular genre.

Now, who’s excited? Don’t worry, you still have three months to warm up to the season, but never forget…

…bi-daily smile…
