There’s nothing like a holiday season diet. Whether you’re the one attempting it, or the one who gets to hear about it, it usually leads to some serious bah-humbug vibes. Thankfully, for both halves of this “grinchy” situation, I have some good news. Make that great news.
Eating cheese may actually be good for you!
Yes, you read that right. Cheese = good…sort of.
A new research review found that a small amount of cheese (40 grams) every day may reduce your risk of heart disease or stroke. Sadly, the benefits are very much dependent on the daily intake of cheese. So polishing off that cheese ball and then abstaining for the rest of the week probably isn’t the best plan. I know, shockingly, all things in moderation wins the day again.
Still it’s something to keep in mind as you’re subjected to calorie counts this holiday season. Whether this cruel form of torture is self-inflicted, or otherwise, you can have your cheese and your heart health too.
