…Stay Positive

Happy Friday, fellow crusaders! As we slowly inch towards the weekend, it’s time for another dose of positivity.

From attacks and healthcare to pipelines and less restricted hunting on Alaska wildlife refuges, there’s a lot to be concerned about. While it’s good to stay informed, and pay attention to what’s going on in the world, it can also become a bit overwhelming if you only hear the bad news.

So to counteract all the depressing news, here’s some more inspiring stories from this past week. Just think of this as your emotional caffeine…

  • A tourist who was lost in the Bolivian Amazon for 9 days was found alive. Even better, he apparently owes his survival to a group of monkeys.
  • A large corporation is doing something nice for its employees. Automaker Porsche is giving a nearly $10,000 bonus to every single one of its employees.
  • This week, the first ever Rosie the Riveter Day was celebrated. Designed to honor the countless real-life “Rosies” who entered the workforce during WWII, it’s a long overdue, but incredibly inspiring holiday.

Hopefully this little bit of good news has you ready to take on the weekend with a smile on your face. If not, well then hopefully a little Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jordan Fisher (see below) will do the trick.

…just for fun:

Something else to make your day a little brighter…you’re welcome.
