“We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial “outside agitator” idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider…”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This year, MLK Day comes at the start of a week that, if we’re being honest, is one that has already divided our country in many ways. Yes, the likeminded among us have found community with those that confirm their own beliefs.

So today, as we remember a man who sought to unify, let’s honor his memory by continuing to strive for the community he worked so hard for.

Today, I do that with fun. Yes, that’s right I did not forget the promised finale of the long 2WC Funday Weekend. There’s nothing more uniting than shared joy…
