…fall into place

summerfallThis Friday we find ourselves at the very end of September, Crusaders, and that can only mean one thing…

Only one month (and one day) until it becomes socially acceptable (ish) to haul out the holly, hoist up the tree, and crank the Christmas tunes.

Oh, and you can now crack out the pumpkins without shame (but I’m more excited about the countdown to Christmas).

In the meantime, seeing as it is Flick Friday, here are a few movies that beautifully bridge the long, arduous gap between Halloween and Christmas…

First, the obvious, but wonderful, “Nightmare Before Christmas,” takes us on a whimsical, nightmarish journey from Halloween…

…to Christmas…

Next, an entire series of films that beautifully captures the horror of Halloween and the magic of Christmas…”Harry Potter” of course…

And finally, a classic: “Meet Me in St. Louis” brought us a Christmas classic, and the Halloween sequence with Tootie is one of my favorites (and isn’t on YouTube, so you can see it here)…
