…balance

cropped-2wc-twitter-theme.jpgGood morning and Happy International Women’s Day!

This year’s theme (yes, there are themes) is one of equality (parity to be precise), and that’s a message that 2WC can get behind. While the Two-Woman Crusade was founded on a crusade for civility, equality is an important part of kindness towards others.

Don’t feel left out gentleman, today is not about excluding you, but including everyone, and making certain everyone, no matter their gender, gets an equal opportunity.

That being said, I am going to take the opportunity to share some fun facts and stories of incredible women.

First, a factoid: A recent reader survey found that when it comes to the judgment of books, men make up their minds much more quickly than women. While this could be interpreted as indecision on the part of women, I think it’s a testament to our ability to give everything, even dull books, a fair shot: Men make up their minds about books faster than women, study finds

Next, a nod to Google Doodles, who despite its epic fail around the Women’s World Cup, actually does a pretty good job of honoring women’s history throughout the year, put together a great Doodle video for today: International Women’s Day Google Doodle
