…Branch Out

the-lorax-coverIt’s a good day for the Lorax and tree-lovers everywhere. We officially know how many trees there are on earth (sort of).

A recent study calculated the total number of trees on earth to be around 3 trillion.

That’s about 10 times what was previously thought. That’s also more than 400 trees per person.

Which means that we each basically have our own forest…okay, more like orchard, but it’s still a heck of a lot of trees.

The less exciting part of that study is that humans have cut down almost half of the world’s trees since the beginning of civilization…so our own personal orchards could be a lot bigger.
