…choose your words

Twitter_logo_blueWe live in a 140-character world that, to paraphrase Ferris Bueller, “moves pretty fast.” Today, you blink and your news feed has already added another 1,000 posts that you can’t possible catch up on.

Today I thought I’d help you catch up with a little Twitter Tuesday special: Life according to my Twitter stream*. Enjoy!

*Tweets highlighted here may have been cherry-picked in the interest of spreading happiness. Readers should read a newspaper (or I’ll settle for the New York Times Twitter stream…it’s a start) for all of the actual news. Seriously. Try it. You can thank me later.

First up, I’m not one to get political on this blog, which is why this carefully worded Tweet by “Mother Jones” made my day. Well played:

Then there’s this story that simultaneously made me cry and get super-excited about the next “Star Trek” movie:

And because the Internet was basically created so that we all could share more pictures of adorable baby animals:

Finally, it’s probably best, that you just step away from the social network:

But before you do, you should probably head on over to Instagram to see this glorious Girl Power moment, brought to you by the cast of the new “Ghostbusters” movie:

3 cheers to @theellenshow from all the remarkable women of #ghostbusters. When we stand together we are unstoppable! #girlpower
