…know the score

Well, soccer fans, it’s game day! I’d say it’s your last chance to catch Team U.S.A. in action this World Cup, but I’m an optimist. Sure, our opponent, Germany, is ranked first (the U.S. is number 2…after being at number 1 for six years), and our team doesn’t have the same level of Google support that their male far less victorious counterparts got last year, or, you know, the Chicago Cubs every day of the year.

Top search result for cubs (no capitalization or city required):

(Go Cards!)

And just in case you wanted a little more context, here’s a sidebar with more information about one of the worst team’s in baseball:

Where’s my schedule, Google? …and my sidebar? I suppose I should be touched that it’s the correct event.

Back to my original point: Get out there (in front of your televisions) and support your team, America! …but don’t bother googling the time and network. Here’s the complete schedule: FIFA Women’s World Cup schedule. The game is at 6 central, on FOX. Go USA!!!

…bi-daily smile…

  1. coverage begins at 6 p.m. central, not 7 – kick off might not be right at 6 but that’s what the site says…
