I can’t think of a better day than the Monday after World Sleep Day (other than perhaps the day itself, which was last Friday) to whine about being tired.
I know what the well-rested among you will say: It’s my tablet/phone/computer’s fault.
Well that’s very technology-ist (techist?) of you. All of that technology is surely interrupting my REM cycle in some way (although the real tech sleep thief is the phantom vibrating phone that lives in one of my apartment’s walls…true story), but it turns out that tech is not the leading cause of sleep-loss for most. It’s stress.
Now apologize to the technology scapegoats…and all of the stressed-out insomniacs you’ve convinced that they have a technology problem on top of their sleep deprivation.
