…Stand Out

This week was an unexpectedly good week for sharks, assuming they were on the right.

If that reference was lost on you, then you probably didn’t catch the Super Bowl halftime show last weekend. Also you most likely haven’t been paying attention to the latest memes this week.

In case you missed the beach-themed portion of Katy Perry’s performance last Sunday, or want to relive the magic, I give you Left Shark:

In case you missed it, the shark on the left appears to be moving to the beat of its own special drum. Which would be fine, if it wasn’t on display in front of millions of viewers with Twitter and Vine accounts, and very snarky opinions.

Needless to say, the resulting commentary has been a little funny and upsetting at times. While most likely Left Shark will disappear fairly quickly into the history of forgotten memes, while he’s still here we can all learn a valuable lesson.

While Right Shark may appear to be following all the “right” steps, that doesn’t make Left Shark wrong. It’s okay to be the Left Shark every now and then.

On that note, I’ll leave you to enjoy your weekend. Remember to be the shark you want to be.
