…count the days

As far as days go, Mondays have a bad rap. Let’s face it, no one likes them. Some may despise them to a lesser degree, but there are not many Monday enthusiasts out there.

I’d like to change that. For one Monday anyhow. Prepare to have the best Monday ever. I mean, you found this post, so it’s off to a great start.

I actually like Mondays, always have. So, it bums me out that so many people use them as an excuse to be in a bad mood.

Now, I’m going to say nice things about Monday to get us all in the right mindset:

  1. It’s right next to Sunday, which in my book is the greatest day of the week, apart from its proximity to the Monday grouches.
  2. It’s only 4 days until Friday, another fabulous day.
  3. …so…maybe I only have 2 points.

Good news is, you’re already halfway through this one

I could give you a speech about seizing the opportunity of a new week, and riding that wave of motivation through to Friday, but no words I can could possibly compete with the immortal wisdom of YouTube. On that note, I leave you with several inspiring clips to get you through the rest of your Monday. For the greatest impact I’d recommend spreading them out through the rest of the day, maybe even save one for early Tuesday (they can be rough days too):

Never underestimate the power of a positive attitude.

A day with Muppet karaoke in it is a good day.

And if you’re going to insist on being surly, at least save your anger for the important things.
