Another summer weekend has come to an end, and for many that means the beginning or end of a summer adventure. For 2WC it was a travel day, so we’re going to keep this short, but don’t worry we won’t let you leave empty-handed.
In the spirit of this blogs founding principles, we thought we’d share some tips for you road warriors out there. We assure you this list is strongly inspired by those we encountered on our recent journey (you know who you are). Enjoy:
- Tip 1: Show some humility. Successful navigation of our nation’s highways is a team sport. We know you’re a fantastic driver, but it’s okay to throw a “thank you” wave to the person who let you cut in front of them. Also, jazz hands of gratitude are always welcome (true story…the bar has been set).
- Tip 2: Turn signals are not a suggestion. Until they perfect the art of telepathy we do not know that intend to drift on over 3 lanes at your pace of choice. It sucks, we know. If only someone had invented some sort of device that signals to other drivers when you plan to turn…
- Tip 3: The left lane is for passing not for taking your Sunday 55 mile an hour joy ride.
And with that we leave you with wishes for safe travels this summer, and (of course) a song.

4. I don’t have a bumper sticker; you can back off. 5. I will need to see your “line number” to allow you to cut in front of me after I’ve been sitting in this line for 20 minutes (that or I apologize if the left lane ends light burned out since I passed it)…
