…Take A Bow

85th_Academy_Awards_PosterThe Academy Awards come and gone once again, complete with all its triumphs, losses and even a few spills.

Before we close this year’s 2WC Oscar coverage, I thought I’d do one last quick review and add a few thoughts.

First, the review—Seth MacFarlane did a fantastic job.

And now some thoughts—Plenty has been said about last night’s ceremony, and I’m sure that much more will be said still. Whether you loved it or hated it, you have to admit it was pure Hollywood.

There was glitz and glamour. There was comedy, both intentional and unintentional (Miss Lawrence, nice recovery). Living legends were honored and history was made (congrats, Mr. Day-Lewis).  There was even a song and dance number (times about ten).

I would say that there’s not much to complain about, but we all know that won’t stop some.

Anyways, it’s been a great Oscar season, but now it’s time to call it a wrap.  Here’s to another awesome year of film…and maybe next year we could nominate a few more comedies (seriously).

…and the final score is:

Stephanie: 7 out of 10

Zer: 6 out of 10

…but who’s keeping score…

…just for fun:

I really like Jennifer Lawrence. I loved her interview you posted. She’s really funny! I’ve watched her in Winter’s bone too, she has some great acting chops on her.
