What’s black and white and on the verge of losing it’s spine? Give up?
Unfortunately, the answer is books.
Borders is going under, and with it, hope for Team Tome.
It should come as no surprise that here at the Crusade we’re fans of ink on paper, tangible, page-turnable books.
However, it seems like a good time not to accept defeat, but maybe allow for some change.
The market has spoken, and it seems e-readers are here to stay.
I have no plans to run out and buy one of these portable, pageless tablets, but they can’t be all bad, right?
E-readers do have their advantages aside from the fact that they don’t have that wonderfully amazing book smell.
They’re small, sleek and can allow a reader to transport their entire library with them at once.
You don’t have to pick a book and stick with it. If you come across a particularly boring page, you can switch to a new book (and contribute to the rise in A.D.D.).
Plus, you don’t have to bother with going to a store. You can download books directly to your portable device (no human interaction required).
Okay, so maybe this book lover isn’t quite ready to be spineless.
Go Team Tome!
…just for fun:
