…Catch Up

Happy Monday! Or at least, congratulations on making it out of bed, it’s Monday.
After a busy weekend, and probably a few Emmy parties (a two out of four victory isn’t too bad), it may be a rough Monday for many of us.
So, what better way to start the week than a quick sleep study.
It turns out, we’re doing it wrong. Or at least those who can actually sleep for a solid eight-hour block are.
Recent research (and some lines from Chaucer) show that, in fact, it’s completely natural to wake up in the middle of the night.
Which means, my fellow stressed-out sleepers, we can stop freaking out about not getting enough sleep at night.
Even better news, these same studies mention the benefits of daytime naps…something to think about when your boss catches you during your next siesta.

if we just wait long enough, some study somewhere pretty much always tells us “we’re alright” – it doesn’t quite make up for the 200 studies that told us to be afraid, be very afraid, but we can cling to it…
