…Shape Up

As we trudge back to work after a long weekend, more than a few of us may be nursing a holiday hangover.

If you’re a card carrying member of this group; good news, it’s not your fault.

No, it’s not the usual suspects: genetics, peer pressure, poor decission making, or just general over-indulgence.

No, in this instance the fault lies with your drinking vessel (according to a recent study out of the UK).

It seems our beer glasses have been tricking us into drinking more for years. Well, at least the curvy ones have. It might just seem like a design choice, but these curves create an optical illusion that you’re drinking less beer than you are.

So hold your head high (or as high as you can) as you make your way back to the grind stone. And be sure and point your boss to this study when they wake you from your 9:30 nap.

To the rest of you bottle, can and non-curvy glass drinkers…sorry, you’re on your own.
