Bearers of strained arm muscles and hoarse voices rejoice, thanks to the magic of technology, you will not be stranded tragically unable to hail a cab, should you find yourself in the city of New York.

You know what’s coming…there’s now an app for that…and there it is.

Finally your phone can aid you in finding a taxi.  I know what your thinking–Couldn’t 1-800-Taxicab already do that?

Yes, but calling a cab is so 2000.  Remember, back when that sad piece of plastic and metal you called a cellphone could merely dial numbers and send text messages…dark times.

Now, there really is an app for that.  You can hail a cab without even listening to a recording, or god forbid talk to another person.

Whether or not you choose to converse with your driver, beyond sharing your destination, is up to you, although I’m sure there’s an app for that too.
