…Let the Games Begin
Today we enter the next phase of the Olympics…the games.
Yes, believe it or not there’s even more after last night’s spectacular opening ceremony.
Already today, Michael Phelps barely qualified in the 400-meter individual medley, Dana Vollmer set a new Olympic and American record in the 100-meter butterfly and other Olympic events happened as well…I presume.
Anyways, the point is, there’s more to the Olympics than flashy dance numbers and an army of Mary Poppins’ (it was truly epic).
It’s also about competition and athleticism. Plus it’s a full two weeks until the closing ceremonies, and we’ll need something to entertain us until the Spice Girls’ performance. So we might as well let the games begin.
