Security is a relative thing. What makes one person feel safe and secure–functioning locks on all windows and doors–may not work for others–state of the art security system complete with moat, thorn hedge and guard dragon (preferably fire-breathing).
What ever way you lean, AT&T is breaking in to the home security market.
The security system will be connected to a wired broadband and the AT&T wireless network. For all you nerds and geeks out there, yes, they’ll probably have an app for that. Because who wouldn’t want a remote control for their home security?
Of course, this is nothing new. We live in a world where you can unlock and start your car with your iPhone. With millions of radio signals and wireless networks to play interference, what could possibly go wrong?
Plus, with the reliability of AT&T’s wireless network, you’ll probably only have to wait a few minutes for your home access password to load.
